Born in 1973, he graduated with full mark in Mechanical Engineering in 1998 and entered Eni Management School earning the Master in Energy and Environment from ‘Scuola Mattei’. He joined Eni corporate Internal Audit office executing process audits for several upstream, midstream and downstream divisions till 2004 when he started his international professional career in the Hague within Agip KCO, the Operator appointed by the International Consortium of 7 O&G Majors for the development of Kazakhstan offshore assets. In Agipkco he spent 6 years across the various phases from FEED throughout engineering, construction, commissioning and start up of Kashagan Projects offshore and on shore facilities. His followings 2 assignments were respectively as General Project Development Manager in Egypt-Petrobel and as Development Director of Mozambique-Eni East Africa Operator for Area 4 Rovuma Basin gas discoveries. As such he built his competences around O&G Development Projects: multibillions green field Projects such as Kashagan, Mediterranean Subsea and Mozambique LNG & FLNG Projects covering roles and responsibilities gradually grooving from project engineer, through project manager and project director. In 2914 he was appointed as General Manager of FCP JV Eni Sontrach in charge of production and development of several gas, oil and condensates fields in Algerian desert till 2016 when he moved back to Eni Headoffice to run the Integrated Logistic Team. In 2017 he was seconded to OGCI CI to support the new appointed CEO on managing the first CCUS Project- Clean Gas Project than renamed as Teesside Net Zero Project- and kick off OGCI Investment plan on CCUS. In engaging OGCI Member Companies, UK Government, and many others public and academic entities active on decarbonization plans, he enjoined a considerable professional and human experience on projects and initiatives aimed in lowering the carbon foot print by O&G Sectors and shaping the Energy Transition pathways. OGCI CI’s experience encompassed also the role of Engineering Director reporting to CTO mainly focus on technical evaluation of investments across the 4 OGCI work stream: Methane emissions, CCUS, Energy and Transportation efficiency. Back to Eni in 2019, he re-joined Logis division in leading position and this gave the chance to pursue and reinforce the previous tasks tackled in 2016 both internal to Eni and external within international platforms such IOCLF - the International Oil & Gas Logistic Forum established in 2020 together with other key O&G Majors aimed to provide a working table for logistic leaders in the IOCs to share logistics best practices and World Economic Forum O&G Logistic, an initiative promoted by 15+ leading Oil & Gas CEOs within WEF to share resources and logistic hubs with the aim to improve efficiencies and productivity, reduce environmental footprint, maximize assets/resources across O&G operators and implement decarbonization and energy transition projects.
